Little Ark Preschool is one of the most highly regarded preschools in Vancouver, British Columbia. Operated by West Point Grey Baptist Church, the preschool opened its doors in 1970. Today Little Ark Preschool is well known in the Point Grey community for being a leader in pre-education. The preschool now caters to over 50 families in the community and is one of the top Vancouver preschools.

In recent years, Little Ark has undergone many changes in response to the needs of the community and the ever-changing nature of early childhood education in B.C. Highlights among the physical improvements of the facility include an adventure playground (1991), new and renovated classrooms (1993), a parent/staff lounge (1994) and renovations to the art room (1998). A list of current programs offered at Little Ark Preschool can be seen in the program section of the website.

The goal at Little Ark Preschool is to provide the children of the community with a nurturing environment where they can learn, grow and enjoy making new friends. For more information on the Reggio inspired Little Ark philosophy please see the goals and objectives page.

Little Ark is a very family oriented environment as parents and caregivers are always welcome to visit the parent/staff lounge. There, they can browse through parenting resource materials, enjoy a cup of coffee, meet other parents or just relax whilst their children learn. Little Ark Preschool invites childcare guest speakers for occasional evening lectures to speak on a range of topics including social, intellectual and physical development. There are many special events and field trips held each year for both the children and parents to enjoy.
