People in our Classroom

Visitors to our classroom are invited to work alongside the teachers to ensure that your child has the most positive and supportive preschool experience that we can provide. All student teachers, volunteers and professional visitors must have a completed criminal record check prior to being admitted to the classroom. A preschool teacher is always present with the children; they are never left unattended with a visitor or allowed to leave the classroom or the premises with a visitor

Students

Throughout our school year we host practicum students who are doing their ECE teacher training at local Community Colleges (Langara, Capilano, Century, Burnaby)

Volunteers

We have many volunteers who participate in the preschool program during the year. Volunteers are interviewed by the Preschool Director and are given an orientation and job description.

Professionals

There is a variety of professionals connected t the field of Early Childhood Education who may occasionally visit the preschool for the purpose of observation. Some of the people you may encounter are the Government Licensing Officer, Government Health inspector, local college instructors and members from the Public Health Unit (i.e. Public Health Nurse, vision and hearing specialists, psychologists etc.).
