Preschool Fees

Preschool fees are based on the yearly program and are divided into nine monthly payments (5 payments, for the 2 ½ Year Old program). The first and last months fees are combined into one cheque which is due August 1st (or December 1st for the 2 ½ Year Old program). We are unable to reduce fees for statutory holidays, or absences due to illness or vacation. Your monthly fee guarantees that your child retains his or her spot in the program.

The first and last month fees may be paid over July and August, as long as they are received by August 1st.

Childcare subsidy is available through the Ministry of Children and Family Development ( http://www.mcf.gov.bc.ca/childcare/ChildCar/subsidy_promo.htm )

Fee Schedule

Each child must pay a $40.00 registration fee in addition to their postdated cheques. The post dated cheques are to be made out for the following amounts:

Failure to meet Fee Obligations

  1. If monthly fee obligations are missed twice in one school calendar year, Little Ark preschool Church Committee will issue a notice of withdrawal of childcare services.
  2. Parents will be charged for any NSF cheques received by the preschool (the amount will be determined by the treasurer).
  3. NSF cheques must be replaced within seven days.
  4. Cash or certified cheques may be required as replacement for NSF cheques, at the Treasurer's discretion.
  5. In the case of regular cash payments, payments must be made one month in advance

Withdrawal

Refund of program fess will only be granted if written request is received by the first day of the month prior to the month of withdrawal. If written notice is not received by the first day of the month, one month of fees will be withheld. Verbal cancellation will not be accepted. In the case of a summer withdrawal, written notice must be received by July 1st in order have all cheques returned. E-mail cancellation will be accepted for summer withdrawals only, and must be given by July 1st.

Prolonged absenteeism from the program without reasonable explanation will result in the absent child's place being given to another child who will attend on a regular basis. Regular refund rules will apply in such a case.
