About Little Ark Preschool

At LAP we bring children, teachers, families and community together in a journey of education. We offer a program that challenges, encourages, and supports children in their quest for knowledge, recognizing the developmental stages of childhood and the unique gifts, talents and abilities of each child. We use a Reggio Emilia based approach to teaching and learning. This approach fosters children's intellectual development through systematic focus on symbolic representation, as children are encouraged to explore their environment and express themselves through words, movement, drawing, painting, playing, and other natural modes of expression. We trust, respect and value children's sense of ownership, autonomy and control of their own learning and play.
